Billiards Room
Interesting aspects of this project:
- Pella French doors with huge sidelights fill this space with natural light and make great access to the back yard.
- Amtico flooring (1/8 inch think vinyl composite) was used in this project. The wooden floor facsimile is so convincing – people are astonished to learn it’s not real wood. Unlike a floating floor – this bonds to the sub-floor, so there is no movement. This was essential to accommodate the weight of the billiard table and the foot traffic.
- The coffered ceiling. What looks like a traditional coffered ceiling is really a custom made suspending ceiling with removable coffer panels to allow access to the ceiling space above. Perfect for this basement transformation. The ceiling comes as a complete kit from Top Notch Ceilings.
- Custom built-in wet bar and drinks ledge. Oak bar top features bloodwood inlay.
Outdoor Living and Landscape
Interesting aspects of this project:
- Screened in gazebo sits at the tree-house height overlooking the entire back yard.
- Large wrap-around cedar deck connecting all the exterior doors of the home to the beautifully appointed backyard.
- Rocks from the site were expertly positioned to build a retaining wall and the adjoining pond and waterfall.
- Deck extends down and around the pool with stone pump house.
